Angie Gornik

Angie (she/her) was born and raised in Minnesota where she spent her childhood running around her backyard and summer camp barefoot. Angie spent her summers playing fastpitch, running cross country, and attending summer camp as a camper, counselor-in-training, summer camp counselor, and program coordinator.

She attended Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa where she earned a B.A. in Biology and Spanish and traveled to Ecuador, Louisiana, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua. After completing college Angie traveled West to work as an Outdoor Education Instructor in Southern California and a Summer Camp Naturalist in Central Oregon. Nature exploration, outdoor adventure, and
the laughter of students became an integral part of her life and led her to pursue a Master’s of Science in Environmental Education from Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon. Angie has spent the last two years as a Camp Director in High Sierras of California.

In her free time, you can find Angie reading, drinking coffee, baking, listening to podcasts, playing cribbage, snuggling her nephew, visiting national parks, caring for 50 house plants, hiking, and playing fetch or swimming with her pup, Crater.
